Barrett Law offers practical and personalized advice and service to all of its clients. David Barrett’s support staff has over 60 years combined legal experience.
A graduate of Dalhousie University (B.A., LL.B), David G. Barrett practised law in Vancouver, British Columbia from 1983 to 1988.
In 1988, David returned to Nova Scotia to provide legal representation for a party in The Marshall Inquiry.
Since 1988, David's practice has concentrated in the areas of property law, corporate law, wills and estates, family law, criminal law, and personal injury.
As well, David has been appointed as acting Crown Attorney in both Halifax and Dartmouth Provincial Courts since 1998, and is legal counsel to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Veterans Association in Nova Scotia.
Prior to obtaining his LL.B degree, David was a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in both Alberta and British Columbia, and served his last four years working with the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) in British Columbia.
